​Bridgers of the Gap is dedicated to seeding into education in various ways. In addition to advocating for educational efforts, Bridgers of the Gap has provided educational scholarships and school uniforms in various nations, including:

• United States
• Liberia
• Fiji
• Korea
• Kenya
• ​Bolivia
• Ghana

We have also traveled to teach in other nations, including Bolivia, England, and Japan.

Our organization collects and donates toys, clothing, shoes, school uniforms, and other supplies to send overseas for children who are in need. We collect items from donors across the United States and ship them to multiple nations through our partnership with the 

Cox Evangelistic Ministries. 

For decades, our hearts and ministry have been to reach people through the art of dance. We have been blessed to have trained dance professionals in our organization who have shared their gifts and talents for choreography, teaching, and performance. Our dancers minister through dance styles including:  lyrical/worship, ballet, modern, hop hop, tap, jazz, dance fitness, and more. Through multiple programs, we have been able to instruct dancers at various experience levels. 

We have partnered with the Let's Make a Difference Coalition of Norfolk, VA to provide ongoing gifts for teachers that work for Norfolk Public Schools in the 23504 zip code. This project is a part of a larger effort to dismantle the school-to-prison pipeline in this area, and to promote appreciation for the hard work that teachers contribute to serving students toward a brighter future. 

Over the span of three decades, members of our organization have been committed to distributing food to members of low-income, homeless, children, and other communities in need. Within the past few years, Bridgers of the Gap has distributed food to communities in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk.

Our organization also provides donations to feed poor populations in Bolivia, Ghana and Liberia and others in need. 

In response to a need in the community for support to parents who find themselves educating their children at home, we created Bridgers of the Gap Educational Support Team (B.E.S.T. P.L.A.C.E.) where children and adults can Play, Learn, Activate, Create and Express. 

As home educators for over 21 years, we are here to support you and your children in your educational journey. 

Arts Culture is a program designed to incorporate various art forms into the lives of young people who do not have the resources or access to such arts. This program allows youth ages 5-18 from low-income communities to explore various forms of music, dance, and visual arts in order to creatively express themselves. 

In order to address the appeal for justice in response to the mistreatment of people of color in our nation, we are taking measures to address the concerns of men and women in our communities. 

By amplifying the voices of those most impacted, our goal is to make an impact during this time in history by representing these concerns to city officials to strive for equal treatment and safety for all Virginia Beach citizens.
